Class Description: In this three week intensive, Writer/Director Justin Rossbacher shares how to responsibly give creative feedback. Specifically script feedback but yes, this also applies to any kind of feedback!
In an industry that is consumed with not offending people because they could be "the next big thing" or "the connection we always needed to make or break,” it is easy to play it too safe and not share thoughts that are truly helpful when giving feedback. While it is important to be respectful, considerate, and to understand one’s individual role, it is also just as important to have the skillset to give productive feedback in order to enhance the project. Filmmaking is a collaborative industry where every voice matters, and what will set you apart could be the amazing feedback you give. Not only will this class help you give great feedback but it will help you learn how to ask for better feedback.
Justin will be diving deep into his 10 Principles of Good Feedback, sharing his specific script review system and interacting with participants as they implement giving and receiving feedback.
