INTIMACY FOR SCREEN ARTISTS: AN INTENSIVE is an information-packed class that will not only shed light on the multiple aspects and new safety boundaries of intimacy work in filmmaking, but empower you to easily apply it to your work as an artist in today’s film/tv market.
For Actors: Learn new SAG-AFTRA rights and options when it comes to intimacy and/or nudity throughout the audition, rehearsal, and shooting process. Understanding your boundaries and how to communicate them with production are key elements to your performance.
For Producers, Directors, and Crew: Learn new SAG-AFTRA industry standards on working with intimate scenes, how to professionally approach the casting, rehearsal, and shooting of scripted intimate scenes, and how intimacy coordinators are there to help support your vision safely.
Day ONE: VIRTUAL (worldwide)
Day 1’s three-hour interactive seminar will offer guidance to actors, producers, directors, and crew (all screen artists) on the audition process, prep discussions, and shoot day protocols involving intimacy and nudity.
An introduction to the newest 2020 SAG rules as well as how to establish boundaries on a non-SAG production will be discussed.
Day TWO: IN PERSON (*masks required)
Offers a hands-on understanding of the intimacy coordinator set kit: including modesty garments and barrier options as well as fully-dressed choreography training of several common simulated intimacy situations, with the option to participate or watch each element based on your comfort level.
Using our in-facility camera and monitors, you will also get to see how we can adjust camera angles, positioning, and framing to make simulated intimacy elements look more realistic.
